Sabre Pacific is the leading provider of technology, distribution and marketing services for the Australian travel industry. Woodhead has designed a commercial workplace which clearly reflects both Sabre’s corporate philosophy and the importance of technology in their business.

Sabre Pacific’s Sydney offices act as a training centre and call centre for the vast number of travel agents connected to their system. Taking inspiration from the global nature of Sabre’s business a circle motif features on glazing in meeting rooms and training areas throughout the space. The meeting rooms are named with acronyms of international travel locations.

A large number of internal columns and half the floorplate with no access to windows or natural light challenged the design team to create an efficient and light filled workspace. Placing the IT training rooms and laboratory in areas without direct access to natural light alleviated the demand on window space.

An innovative, purpose built water feature highlights the meeting hub area, providing visual stimulus to the surrounding workspaces and changes colour every half hour.  Water flows across the illuminated panel, providing stunning and restful ambience to the space.
