Woodhead has transformed this previously underdeveloped aged care facility to establish a new and higher standard of accommodation in the Perth marketplace.
A masterplanning and feasibility exercise first established what development was required to meet the 2008 Commonwealth certification standards, finding that a large number of high care bed licences were not being utilised.
The subsequent masterplan defined a development encompassing 44 independent living villas, 85 apartments, 142 high care beds and a community centre. The completed RSL War Veterans development combines an efficient mix of high quality resort-style independent, low and high care accommodation on the existing 4.5ha site.
