The $60 million hotel has seven levels of one, two and three bedroom apartments plus executive suites. The hotel is close to the marina complex, shops, a day spa and an easy stroll to Glenelg’s famous Jetty Road.
The Pier, located on the ground floor of the hotel accommodates bars and restaurants, function rooms and a gaming area. Along with resort style facilities, including a stylish indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium, is an undercover carpark for more than 300 cars.
The hotel has a particular focus on outdoor hospitality with views over Holdfast Bay and a pedestrian footbridge linking the building with its surrounds and the nearby marina precinct. Certainly biggest drawcard for the hotel are the views where each suite has a private balcony offering sensational views of either the ocean or the park.
The Pier Hotel forms part of an extensive beachfront development comprising a mix of residential, retail, hotel, restaurant and marina elements. At the time of its development, the project was classed as the largest development in South Australia.
