The Port Lincoln Hotel is located on Boston Bay, one of the world’s largest protected natural harbours, and is bounded by Lincoln National Park. The $55 million, four star resort hotel is set over seven storeys and features 111 rooms and associated activities such as bars, restaurants, conference facilities, gaming and recreational facilities including a heated outdoor swimming pool and gymnasium. Woodhead is responsible for both the architecture and interior design for the hotel.
The hotel design is contemporary and offers a unique, relaxed environment, enhanced by the use of natural light and internal finishes that reflect the seaside environment, such as fresh blues and greens complimented by natural timber.
The hotel complex offers quality features to all levels of business. The conference facilities are designed to reflect the need for hassle-free business meetings in a world-class picturesque environment. By utilising the breathtaking views and natural light, the spaces encourage conference guests to extend their stay and bring further economic benefits to the local community.
The design emphasises the coastal location of the building by framing the best views with picture windows and abundant balconies making use of the splendid views.
The hotel reinforces Port Lincoln as both a popular tourist destination and commercial centre for the rest of the Eyre Peninsula.
