Woodhead’s Industrial team has worked with the several clients over the past nine years to develop a streamlined approach to the design and construction of grocery distribution centres.
Woodhead is working together with a leading discount retailer to provide several new distribution facilities across Australia.
The latest project, a new retail distribution centre located at Prestons in Sydney’s west, is nearing completion and will form the basis of a new Southern NSW region supporting up to 100 retail stores.
The Preston’s distribution centre includes 12,000 square metres of cool-house area accommodating our clients expansion into chilled fresh produce.
The new facility is designed with environmentally sustainable considerations in line with the practices central to business operations. This is achieved by maximising the logistic capacity of the site creating a balanced development and conservation solution. All environmental offsets and flood surcharge is contained wholly within the site boundaries.
Woodhead is providing the architectural and interior design services and co-ordinating the input of multi-disciplinary consultants including landscaping, façade engineering, general building and acoustics team.
