Holdfast Shores is a landmark development at the forefront of Adelaide’s premier beachside area of Glenelg. Overlooking Holdfast Bay, this extensive beachfront mixed-use development comprises residential, retail, restaurant and marina elements.

With significant design challenges, including potential conflicting environmental, public access, cost and investment considerations, the solution for the development is a combination of innovative design and sensitive planning that successfully balances public and private demands.

This imaginative integration is the key to protecting and managing public use of the surrounding spaces.

The Holdfast Shores development involves eight precincts extending from Moseley Square in the south to King Street Bridge at Glenelg North. The three residential buildings, Marina Pier, Marina East and Lights Landing offer a total of 209 residential apartments with a shared 80 berth marina.

The elegant interior finishes reflect the environment through the use of natural stones, warm light timbers, subtle lighting and a fresh, crisp colour palette. The design integrates recreational and residential areas, landscaping, pedestrian paths and walkways, traffic flow and access to the marina boardwalks.

The development has expanded and reinstated the dominant position of Glenelg as the premier tourist precinct in the City of Adelaide.
