The three-level 9,200m² hkew Alpha building is the first in the new Perth Airport office park development.
hkew Alpha is an innovative commercial building designed with the central core accommodating all services, entry lobby, meeting rooms and café, connecting to two large open floorplates allowing maximum flexibility. The design process gave consideration to the structural grid and creating a clean internal perimeter.
Both floorplates are oriented to face 10 degrees to the north and south to give the building good passive solar performance which is enhanced by sun-shading on the north facade. East and west facing facades have reduced fenestration protected by a dramatic perforated metal sunscreen. The cafe and meeting rooms open to a central landscaped courtyard, enhanced by a water feature and artworks.
