Located on the Royal Darwin Hospital campus, this distinctive, state-of-the-art facility comprises biological, DNA, animal and radiation laboratories and clinical research and student facilities. Originally designed and documented to 90% completion by other architects, design of the School was suspended when Government funding was withdrawn.

Woodhead was engaged to conduct a review of the project in consultation with members of the original design team. The review took into consideration developments during the intervening 5 years, including new codes, laboratory procedures, computer technology, and cost savings.

Extensive technical and creative expertise was applied to update documentation and undertake interior design of the entire project, including coordination of the complex requirements of a GMAC-approved health laboratory.
