Adjoining Colley Reserve and Holdfast Shores, this prominent seaside development comprises 12 storeys of apartments with 4 storeys of underground car parking.
Apartments range from compact one bed units to two storey town houses and large penthouses with roof terraces. Apartments were sold prior to commencing construction.
The design incorporates a podium base form, and three extensively modelled towers. The penthouse level is capped with louvred sunscreen roof forms. Curved Balcony elements address the principle corner of Anzac Highway and Colley Terrace.
An innovative design feature is to raise the ground floor 1.5m above footpath level to screen the residents above the level of parked cars to the reserve.
The technical challenge of building the underground car park below the water table was solved by constructing a diaphragm perimeter retaining wall down to a clay layer, then using a top down construction sequence for the car park floors.
