Four Seasons Hotel

Following an initial due diligence report, Woodhead was commissioned as architect for the refurbishment of this 5-star hotel located on Sydney Harbour. Interior design was undertaken in conjunction with Wilson & Associates.
A major component of the project was the conversion of the existing 591 room layout to a new layout of 533 rooms, with a high proportion of suites.
Design of new function areas, conference facilities, public bar and restaurant areas, as well as the extensive refurbishment of pool areas and the health club was also undertaken.
The hotel reopened progressively after a 14-week shutdown period, with all work satisfying the demanding requirements set by the Four Seasons Hotel group. Despite a rise in average room tariffs to reflect the higher standard provided by the refurbishment, increased rates of occupancy have exceeded forecasts.
Designated the 'Olympic Hotel', the Four Seasons, now provides 5-star accommodation and conference facilities tailored to meet the needs of international guests.
