Clemenger BBDO
Adelaide, South Australia
The interior fitout of the first floor of the State Heritage-listed Johns Decor Building in Adelaide has recently been completed by Woodhead in preparation for its new tenant Clemenger BBDO.
Johns Decor Building is the new creative headquarters for Clemenger's 54 employees, spaced across 900sqm with room for further expansion. Clemenger wanted to move from the outskirts of the city into a more central area, reflective of its design aesthetic and contemporary direction for its work.
The open style format of the building begins at reception and flows directly into the work area, removing the divide between the two areas and allowing clients to 'see' Clemengers work environment. The new space was designed to reflect Clemenger's desire for a work space where the aspects of and paths to the creative process are on show rather than locked away.
Different work settings were provided ranging from highly interactive studio styled areas to secluded quiet pods for concentrated work. The design embraced the dynamic and creative aspects of the Clemenger culture and focused on fun and flexibility to adapt the environment as projects and commissions demanded.
