Woodhead has won three awards during the 2011 Revit Technology Conference Australiasia at the Gold Coast. 

One of the most prestigious interdependent Revit Technology conferences in Australia, the program encompasses all things Revit / BIM and the whole environment that supports these.

Innovation winner: Woodhead – Adelaide Airport, South Australia

The Innovation award recognises a team that has pushed the boundaries of what is possible using today’s tools. The Adelaide Airport project has stretched the use of Revit technology to create and resolve complex design issues.

Presentation Runner Up: Woodhead – Adelaide Airport, South Australia

The Presentation award acknowledges examples of work where the best presentation techniques have been applied incorporating Revit. The Adelaide Airport presentation demonstrated the successful communication of the messages via clear arrangement of technical elements and visual illustrations.

Integration Runner up: Woodhead – Townsville Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic, Queensland

The Integration award honours the project which has demonstrated the use of all three streams of Revit (Structure, MEP and Architecture). Woodhead’s project Townsville Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic, was able to clearly present the application of Revit to all components of the project; Architectural, Structural, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Data/electrical, Nurse-call, Security and Fire, and Civil.

Winning these awards reflects the passion and commitment of all Revit/BIM operators within Woodhead.

As well as participating in a pre-conference Woodhead Revit workshop, a team of Woodhead delegates to attended the conference, representing of all our studios across Australia and Asia. Laura Smagin, Woodhead’s National CAD/BIM Trainer, documenter and manager, also presented at the conference on the topic of “Topography – The highs and lows”.

The conference attracts delegates from the Architectural, Engineering and Construction industries throughout Australia and New Zealand.
