Woodhead has won The Project People’s Choice award at this years Saturday in Design.
Having established itself as a powerful drawcard of the SiD agenda, the program saw 17 inspiring collaborations between exhibitors and designers demonstrating the breadth and outstanding creativity of our design community. Woodhead were announced as clear winners for their collaboration with Zenith and Bolon. The Woodhead concept sought design inspiration from the Seven Deadly Sins whilst incorporating the launch of the new BE chair at Zenith.
An array of letter Bs where strung throughout the showroom while the 7 deadly sins Pride (Be Confident), Lust ( Be Sexy), Sloth ( Be Relaxed), Greed ( Be Greedy), Gluttony ( Be Hungry), Envy ( Be Desirable), Wrath ( Be Angry).
The launch of the showroom at the +Friday event on 6 August 2010 saw the showroom packed with designers and design enthusiasts who joined in the party and were treated to a presentation on the BE chair.
The showroom opened all day on Saturday and saw a further influx of architects, designers, students and design-savvy members of the public to enjoy the space and the products on display.
Following close behind, Interface Flor (which Woodhead also worked on) garnered a large percentage of the votes, and was named winner of the inaugural Fridcorp award.
