New South Wales Minister for Planning, The Hon. Brad Hazzard, has addressed an event hosted by Woodhead in Sydney.
On Friday 27 May 2011, the Board and Principals of Woodhead hosted an event for key property industry leaders at Café Sydney. The event presented an opportunity for Woodhead’s clients to hear from some of the Property Industry’s most respected players. Robert Harley, Associate Editor of the Australian Financial Review, hosted a panel consisting of the NSW Minister for Planning, Brad Hazzard, Urban Design Leader Karl Traeger and Commercial Leader Jeremy Deale.
The event gave clients an exclusive opportunity to personally question the Minister on the new Government’s intentions, not only in regards to planning, but in all matter of subjects directly related to the Property Industry. Hot topics included the new Government’s proposed changes to Part 3A of the Planning Act, and their commitment to ensuring NSW has a transparent approach to local planning, community consultation and integrated transport. The Minister also expressed his openness for feedback on the Government’s policy positions and decisions from not only the Property Industry, but from the community in general.
A key discussion thread led by Minister Hazzard and Karl Traeger was how an Integrated Design Strategy can be the catalyst for leading city transformation, the idea that the great cities of the world are defined by the quality of their public space and buildings.
Clients in attendance covered Woodhead’s key market expertise in Industrial, Commercial, Workplace, Education, Transport, Health, Residential, Hospitality and Retail.
We thank all those who attended this great event.
