At 3:00pm this afternoon (Eastern Standard Time), David Holm will be interviewed on ABC Radio National’s ‘By Design’ programme on his thoughts on the Italian influence on Sydney.
David has long been inspired by Italian urban planning, and by the traditional piazza as a multi-functional civic space. Today David will discuss what Sydney, and indeed all Australian cities, can learn from Italian urban planning which, for centuries, has embraced the square and other forms of pedestrian-dedicated areas.
