The Woodhead Countdown to Earth Hour 2010 Begins
Excitement is building with Woodhead offices globally again supporting the Earth Hour movement in 2010.
This month long initiative will give each office the opportunity to turn their attention to environmental activities and sustainability research, in the lead up to Earth Hour on 27th March 2010. On that day, people in Australia and around the world will turn off their lights for one hour, sending the powerful global message: it is possible to take action on climate change.
Each office has identified a different environmental issue to focus on through the month with activities, talks and research being undertaken. These events include ‘Zero-Waste’ Lunches, Guest Speakers, Design Competitions, implementing new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and a wide variety of research topics. The month long initiative will culminate at the Earth Hour office functions, where the collection of workshop research material will be broadcast to all offices company wide, and will be accessible for application into project work.
